What is SMILE Pro surgery?

SMILE Pro is a laser vision correction procedure performed using ZEISS VISUMAX 800 technology. The laser creates a small lenticule within the cornea, which the surgeon removes through a small incision to reshape the cornea and correct eligible refractive errors

Is SMILE Pro suitable for everyone who wears glasses?

No. Eligibility depends on age, refractive stability, corneal characteristics, ocular health and other medical factors. Surgery proceeds only after the ophthalmologist confirms suitability.

Is treatment for both eyes included?

Yes. The proposed surgical scope is one bilateral SMILE Pro treatment session, provided both eyes are medically suitable and included in the confirmed surgical agreement.

How does SMILE Pro differ from conventional SMILE?

SMILE Pro uses the newer ZEISS VISUMAX 800 platform and updated treatment guidance and positioning systems. Both procedures use small-incision lenticule extraction.

Will I have perfect vision immediately?

Not necessarily. Vision may improve soon after treatment but can fluctuate during early healing. Dryness, glare, halos or reduced night-vision quality may occur, and no specific visual result can be guaranteed.

Will I experience pain after surgery?

Some discomfort, tearing, light sensitivity, dryness or a foreign-body sensation may occur. Severe pain, sudden vision loss or increasing redness requires urgent ophthalmic assessment.

Can I return to normal activities the next day?

Some patients can resume selected daily activities quickly, but your surgeon will determine when it is safe to work, use screens, exercise, swim, wear eye makeup or return to other activities

Why is the programme five days long?

The five-day schedule allows time for detailed eligibility testing, surgery, immediate recovery, a next-day examination and another scheduled follow-up before departure.

Can I fly home on Day 5?

Many patients may be able to travel after uncomplicated refractive surgery, but departure depends on postoperative findings, eye comfort and the surgeon’s assessment. Additional care or a longer stay may be required.

Do I need to stop wearing contact lenses before arrival?

Possibly. Contact lenses can temporarily affect corneal measurements, so the clinic must provide instructions based on the type of lenses you wear and your planned examination date

What if I am not suitable for SMILE Pro?

Your ophthalmologist may recommend an alternative treatment or no surgery. Any changes to medical services, costs and refunds will follow the agreed booking conditions.

Will I need follow-up care after returning home?

Yes. Your ophthalmologist should provide a long-term follow-up schedule. Continued eye examinations may be necessary even if your early recovery is comfortable.
